With a statement published on their official website, Max Entertainment (MaxEnt) decided to leave the UK Market for strategic business reasons but “with a heavy heart”.
The Malta-based operator has cited the imminent departure of the UK from the European Union as the reason behind this decision and will no longer allow registrations from UK citizens effective immediately. Following the December 2019 UK general election and the threat of Brexit becoming a reality, the operator will focus on other well-regulated European markets.
“Maxent are not ruling out the possibility of returning to the UK in the future, after Brexit has happened and the market is settled, but for the moment there are promising developments in other markets around the world, and as European countries each move to the local-licensing model there are many opportunities present that would be hard to grasp if the UK also needed attention”, the Company stated.
The UK websites will remain open for a short period of time to allow UK existing accounts holders to withdraw their funds. The Company has also announced the launch of a new Pay n Play casino, GoSlotty, with no registration and no verification required.
