Full-Stack Engineer (DevOps)
In this role, you will sit at the intersection of infrastructure and software development. You will be actively involved in building and managing automation pipelines that concern both our internal and customer-facing tools. You will also play a hands-on part in bringing new products from idea to production, working closely with our network, support, and sales teams.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain internal tools, customer portals, and automation that connect our provisioning, billing, and monitoring systems, working across both front-end and back-end code.
- Build, automate, and maintain the infrastructure behind NetShop's hosting services, including KVM virtualization clusters, dedicated servers, and storage platforms across our international data center locations.
- Design and run CI/CD pipelines for internal applications and services, ensuring reliable, repeatable, and well-tested deployments.
- Automate server provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle tasks using infrastructure-as-code and configuration management tools, reducing manual work for the operations team.
- Integrate with and extend platforms such as Virtualizor, cPanel/WHM, and billing/CRM systems through APIs, hooks, and custom modules.
- Harden systems and applications through patch management, firewall configuration, secrets handling, backup verification, and secure coding practices.
- Contribute to the development of new commercial products, from prototype to production.
- Participate in incident response and root-cause analysis, and document systems, procedures, and runbooks so knowledge is shared across the team.
- Collaborate with network, support, and sales teams to deliver tailored solutions for customers, including latency-sensitive fintech and trading environments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- 3+ years of experience in a DevOps, SRE, or full-stack engineering role, ideally within a hosting, cloud, or data center environment.
- Strong Linux administration skills (Ubuntu/Debian or RHEL-based), including networking fundamentals, storage, and performance troubleshooting.
- Experience with at least one scripting language (Bash, Python) and one web development stack (e.g. PHP, Node.js, or Python on the back end; JavaScript/React or Vue on the front end).
- Hands-on experience with virtualization (KVM/QEMU) and containerization (Docker; Kubernetes is a plus).
- Working knowledge of CI/CD tooling (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins) and Git-based workflows.
- Familiarity with relational databases (MySQL/MariaDB, PostgreSQL) and REST API design and integration.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar).
- Solid understanding of security best practices, including firewalls, SSL/TLS, access control, and backup and disaster recovery.
- Strong problem-solving skills, clear written English, and the ability to work independently while handling multiple priorities.
